 Dido

Do you think the name Dido (g) is/will be more popular due to the singer? I'm absolutely in love with it!!

I think that the answer is no. I love Dido, but for a girl, in a lot of languages, a name ending in -O has a handicap to grow up in popularity (as Clio or Io, e.g.).

And, besides that, the popularity of a singer/actor/artist is directely proportional (sometimes) to the popularity of his/her name (I needed to google to know who is Dido the singer Embarassed, but I'm not "à la page" in music). And sometimes the personage's popularity is not related with more popularity of his/her name (Madonna, for example).
